 Team Creation Competition
Hey Guys. I had this idea to start a competition, and wanted to do it on here. I know we only have 7 users, but this competition could be a way to attract others. My idea was to create a fictional hockey team, and design logos and jerseys. Also, we could have like a history behind the team, like why you chose to put it in the area you did, stuff like that. Then when we have all have posted our teams, we can have a vote for whose is the best. If you are interested, post what you want your team to be called, and where you want it, as well as what we should call this competition. Thanks.

I'd love to get involved, unfortunately I have a complete lack of art skills. I think its a great idea though, we need things like that to get this place up and moving.

OK, I think we should have about 4 days to see who wants to join. So if you want to join, post your team name, and city, and if you want, history. Then, after March 7, no else can join, and we can start working on our concepts. If anyone has any objections, post away!
Update
I just thought of a few things.
1. I dont think it should be able to be something you've already created. Start from scratch, make it more exciting.
2. We should decide if this is for a specific sport. I know I originally said hockey, but if any one wants to design something for another sport, just post it.

Guess i can try this out too.
Team name: Georgina Island DevilOwls
Colours:
Red, The Sharks Orange, Black and Sliverish ( Gray ) Triming.
I could not think of anything, so this is where im from. its the largest island in lake simco. Its a Native Reserve. They have a logo with a Horned owl cluching a snake. I have always wanted to change that logo . but makeing it a hockey logo just turned my crank even more. I may not have a Jersey but i will make a logo for it.

OK, Here is a list of guidelines/rules for the competition.
The competition is to design logos for a fictional hockey team
Anyone on the boards can enter. You can sign up to the boards, and then enter as well. All entries must be in by Sunday (March 8th). From there, you will have 2 weeks to create your logo. You can post them anytime after March 8th.
Must have a primary, secondary, and word mark. Jerseys are optional. They cannot be logos you have previously done, and they can't be rip offs of other logos. If you think your logo is to close to a current logo, just post them and see what people think.

Team name: Shadows
Colors: black, smoke gray, white
Its based off a team I made in NHL 09 and I'd like to customize it and see it develop into something more than a copy

Borrowing from notable colors of the Tigers and Wings for a bit of the hometown flair.

Team:Buffalo Blazers
Logo: Dragon Type Logo
Colors: Burgandy, Orange, Black
Team History: As Buffalo NY became a larger city the desire for a new hockey team arose. After the failure of the Auditorium to be turned into a Bass Pro Shop, the Wilson Farms Memorial Arena came around. The Buffalo Blazers are a future top of the line team in the NHL league.
